I feel really drawn to Tarot and divination this time of year. I take time to take stock of what decks I have accessible, which books I would like to work with, and what my goals are for the next 2-3 months.

Do any of you feel a similar calling? How do you address it?

I have a tarot problem 🙂 Between working with the American Tarot Association as a reader and web designer, and then being a member of the Aeclectic Tarot Forums, I have quite a collection of decks. Some are perennial favorites that I am always going to reach for, some are surprising new favorites, and a couple are don’t touch those if you value your life. This is just a quick inventory of my decks, so I have a list of what’s available. (There may be [probably are] others in storage, but I have these here in the new house):

  • The Alchemical Tarot
  • Anne Stokes Gothic Tarot
  • The Archean Tarot
  • Beauty of Horror Tarot
  • Bohemian Gothic Tarot
  • Circle of Life Tarot
  • Connolly Tarot Deck
  • Da Vinci Enigma Tarot
  • Everyday Witch Tarot
  • The Faerie Oracle (Brian Fround)
  • Faery Wicca Tarot
  • Fairy Tale Tarot
  • The Fairytale Tarot
  • The Fey Tarot
  • The Goddess Card Pack
  • Goddess Freya Rune Cards
  • The Golden Tarot
  • The Gypsy Witch Fortune Telling Playng Cards
  • Halloween Tarot
  • The Hobbit Tarot
  • The Housewives Tarot
  • Inner Child Cards: A Fairy-Tale Tarot
  • The Journey Oracle
  • Legacy of the Divine Tarot by Ciro Marchetti
  • The Light Seer’s Tarot
  • Merryday Tarot
  • The Modern Witch Tarot Deck
  • Morgan-Greer Tarot
  • Mystic Dreamer Tarot
  • Mystic Faerie Tarot
  • Mythic Oracle
  • The Mythic Tarot
  • Oracle of Shadows and Light
  • Oracle of Visions by Ciro Marchetti
  • The Somnia Tarot
  • Tarot of Vampyres
  • Do you have any of these? Which is your favorite (on the list or not)? I tend to favor fairy tale based decks (Grimm’s Fairy Tales has been a favorite since I was a child) or darker themed decks, but I do keep a wide selection on hand. Strangely, The Halloween Tarot was my favorite when I was doing readings for other people for The American Tarot Association. I love it’s playful yet straightforward energy.

    Talk Tarot to me….
