Ok, we have the appearance of another Major Arcana card this Sabbat, with The Star. Pentacles is making it’s first appearance with an Ace of new beginnings. Additionally, we have another Cups court card, with the Queen. Overall, this is a prosperous and positive reading for the next six weeks.
The Interpretation
In terms of balance, we are coming into this cycle with the Queen of Cups, having (hopefully) learned our lesson from the reckless Knight in our last reading. We are learning to nurture others, but not at the expense of ourselves. You can’t give from an empty cup, but if you nurture yourself and those around you, then your bounty will overflow.
The Ace of Pentacles is a card of unlimited growth and potential. Things are happening for you. Do you see them? Are you taking advantage of them? To me this card says to make a wish and cast your lot. Your dreams, especially in the realms of work and money are entirely within your reach!
The Star also reminds us that wishes come true, but don’t forget to look inside ourselves for some of the answers, as well. Your fortune isn’t going to just fall into your lap, even if it seems to come easy. You have to be able to look within to be able to see it. This is a great card for balance – within and without – and is the perfect card to represent the harvest and the equinox.
This reading certainly carries the energies of the fall equinox and the autumn harvest cycle into the next six weeks until Halloween. Additionally, there is a lunar eclipse around this same time. This eclipse is about transformation and letting go of outdated patterns that no longer serve us, particularly around emotions and relationships. Call upon the Queen to help you find your inner peace and balance. Don’t be afraid of fresh starts and new beginnings if they serve you best.
