Brooms of Elder – The Druid Pentacle
$20.00
A complex talisman of the ancient healing arts, the “Brooms of Elder” combines five sacred symbols: the pentacle, the broomstick, the elder leaf, the vine, and the circle. It is a tribute to the Earth Mother and those who walk the path of the wise.
Description
The Brooms of Elder is a beautiful representation of the mystical tools used by practitioners for centuries. At its heart lies the Elder leaf, a tree sacred to the Druids and a staple in ancient healing spells. Its branches were traditionally used to craft the “travel broomsticks” that allowed wise-women and “Broom Amazons” to navigate the astral plane.
The Broomstick (or besom) itself is a tool of purification, used by priestesses to sweep away negative spirits after childbirth or to consecrate marriage ceremonies. Surrounding the central Pentacle—the Gypsy “Star of Knowledge”—is a Circle representing the consecrated space of the Mother. Finally, the sacred Blackberry Vine entwines the entire design, anchoring the wearer to the protective and life-giving energies of the Earth Mother.
